The L1A2 Artillery Director is a lightweight transit theodolite specifically designed for the orientation of Artillery/Mortar equipment. This versatile and robust instrument can also be used for general survey purposes. The L1A2 artillery director is an opto-mechanical device, equipped with a tubular compass for orientation purposes and scales for the measurement of horizontal angles and bearings and vertical angles.
